Dr. Cheng Wang

Dr. Cheng Wang is a Physicist Research Scientist at the Advanced Light Source, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. He obtained his bachelor degree in physics from Jilin University, China in 2002, and received his Ph.D. in physics in North Caroline State University in 2008.

After graduation, he joined the ALS, LBNL where he led the development of Resonant Soft X-ray Scattering for soft materials and the construction of a dedicated facility at ALS Beamline 11.0.1.2. His research interest is to develop and utilize advanced synchrotron x-ray probes such as soft x-ray scattering, spectroscopy to elucidate the morphology, chemistry and interfacial structure of broad range of soft materials.
